Update & trial painting

Sorry for not posting for a while here. My part-time day job is helping college instructors learn how to teach their courses online. It has been a very busy time recently.

I’ve also been updating my website and adding a store. With us not probably not attending any conventions this year, I want to make available the merchandise we sell at our booth available on my artofdawn.com website. I’ll let you all know when that goes live.

But to the images added to this post. I want to get back into painting. I had a couple of paintings started last Fall, but we had a bedbug infestation and they apparently loved my art – or at least the canvas they were on. After much fumigating, cleaning and finally reordering new canvases, I’ve been slowly working on getting back I to painting. Though it’s been tough because I put a lot of work into those other paintings and to have to toss them has been a little disheartening.

On Sunday night, pulled out my Fantasy Genesis and polyhedral dice to help inspire me on what to draw. Then I created a pinterest board to help inspire, sketched out a concept and then sketched it out on the canvas.

Hoping to work on this some more this weekend.
