Childhood Hideaway

I joined a local art group where every month we are given a theme. December’s theme was “Your Childhood Hideaway”. As a kid, I would always love going on a specific hiking trail near my home, especially right after a heavy rain because a small waterfall would form during that time. I was also obsessed with unicorns and would pretend with friends that a glint of light created by the sun hitting the water was a unicorn running by or something silly like that.

The floating woman with the jellyfish parasol was to add a bit of a surreal element to the drawing. Plus, I love jellyfish.
